About This Blog

This blog is essentially my reading journal. I love how books draw me into another world; but I also believe that they influence my world and thoughts. So I’ve taken to journaling about the books I read, and I love to discuss those books. In fact, I’ve named this blog after a book club I started–Latte Lit Ladies, you’ll find our monthly reads on here!

At first I planned to rate books, but decided to instead give my opinion on who would enjoy the book; one thing I’ve learned from talking with librarians is that what is important isn’t so much recommending books you personally enjoyed, but guiding readers toward their interests.

About Me

I love any excuse to curl up with a good book and a hot drink–my favorite being a vanilla chai latte. When I’m not reading, I love to scrapbook (with photoshop), enjoy dabbling in writing, and like to spend time outside. I have a wonderful husband and an adorable 1-year old daughter who keeps me very busy.

I was a high school English teacher for the last few years before opting to work part time from home to be with  my little girl. One perk of that choice is finding that I actually have time to read–my reading time used to be dedicated to the assignments I created–but I still find that, to balance everything in my life, I only have time for 2 or 3 books a month. So my posts may not be frequent, but I hope to at least keep up with everything I read.
